It’s our anniversary today. Fifteen years! How did all this time go by? I feel like we are only getting started. There’s so much to learn and do together. We have the best life. I often forget that in the midst of everything else. We have time to be together, we have money to do pretty much whatever we want to do (for now), and we have a house full of furry creatures to keep us entertained. There is so much to be grateful for. So I am going to try and remember that.
We are going into the second week of rehearsals for Sky Life. It’s a little stressful, but we did a run through on Friday, and it’s going to be pretty good. So three more rehearsal days, then set up and tech then four shows.
And then I am going to Montreal for Funny Girl. So many thoughts about going there after 25 years. Well, after 25 years of not performing there, and never really professionally. Of course I am thinking of all the people I knew there years ago that I haven’t seen. I am stupidly imagining that they will all read the fine print of the Gazette for whatever preview article there is and make a pilgrimage to see the show and surprise me at the stage door. Why? Why would anyone do that? God only knows there might be people who’ve held a grudge all these years and show up and throw vegetables at me. You know, a proper medieval vegetable throwing.
And my parents won’t be there.
But sisters will be. And so will Angie.
